Volunteers are at the heart of Oliver Hazard Perry<\/em>'s mission and an integral part of our ship\u2019s community. By volunteering, you contribute towards the success of our on-board programs and enable us to expand our outreach within Rhode Island, New England, and beyond. Volunteers at Oliver Hazard Perry<\/em> perform a wide variety of tasks, and every volunteer day is new and different. You may be asked to lead a tour below decks, talk about the ship\u2019s history to a group of schoolchildren, varnish railings, help the engineer in the engine room, participate in a woodworking project, or help with rigging and sails. No matter your background, we are excited to welcome you to become a part of our volunteer corps.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
